Big radiant steely-blue flowers on bigger, more vigorous plants than any other in the genus.This big, bold garden accent makes most others look small and timid. Big blue, 4-inch (10 cm) blooms in June on thick, sturdy stems. Electric-blue flower color extends well down onto the stems. Green, spiky foliage on erect, candelabra-shaped plants. Tremendous garden presence that's impossible to overlook. Great for middle of border. Especially impressive in mass plantings. Novel container specimen and striking cut flower.
